Acute Kidney Injury
The Cambio CDS Acute Kidney Injury Alert is an alert-based software application that detects patients with acute kidney injury (AKI) by analyzing recent lab values. The service is fully automatic and does not require any input from the clinician to determine if the patient has developed AKI. The application is based upon the latest National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines for acute kidney injury (CG169). When a patient satisfies one of the criteria required to diagnose AKI, a pop-up window is presented to the user which states that the patient has met one of the criteria (as defined by the NICE guidelines), and that they should consider consulting a specialist in nephrology to discuss proper care management.
