High Risk Medication Avoidance

The Cambio CDS High Risk Medication Avoidance is an alert-based software application designed to support the clinician at the point of care with safer medicine management and in reducing the incidence of drug toxicity and adverse drug reactions in patients. This version of the CDS Application is focused on reducing the cumulative risk of bleeding associated with the use of certain drug combinations, as well as other prioritized high-risk medication scenarios. The CDS Application provides alerts and recommendations when such high-risk drug combinations are detected in a patient’s medical record. The CDS Application is based on information contained in the Scottish Government Polypharmacy Guidance 2018 document.
