CDS Summer App Challenge 2017
This summer, we invite you to join our CDS app challenge and model a clinical decision support application that could contribute to enhancing tomorrow’s healthcare delivery while gaining you industry recognition and certification. In under 14 weeks, you will be walking from the start point of your idea or clinical concept, through archetypes, guidelines and views, to delivering a demo CDS application that will be assessed by our jury for your chance at our bouquet of prizes.
Update 2017-07-15: The maximum number of contestants for the challenge has been reached and registration is now closed. In case a position in the challenge becomes vacant, we will contact the first person on the waiting list (sign-up form available below). What’s in it for you?

Already have an idea you want to work on? Head over to the tutorial pages for information on how to get started. If not, gather some of your friends for a brain-storming session or present yourself in the #matchmaking channel on Slack (invitation needed – available after registration) to find other individuals to discuss and possibly partner up with. Feel free to browse through our public showcase page on GitHub for inspiration.

Rules
- You must reside in one of the Nordic countries or the UK.
- You may participate in the challenge individually or in a group of two.
- Your submitted clinical model will be shared under open source, which by definition means the copyright holder grants public access with the right to study, modify and use the software.
- You have from the 1st of June until the 30th of September to submit your finalized model, which will then be assessed by clinical relevance, accuracy, scientific bearing and technical stability.
- The winner will be announced by October 25th.
The Jury
The jury to assess the submitted models and declare a winner consists of distinguished healthcare professionals who have all contributed to the enhancement of health IT. It includes prominent members of the openEHR community such as Dr. Ian McNicoll, Silje Ljosland Bakke and Rong Chen MD, PhD.
